Obituary

Willie Neal White Jr., 90, of Cleveland, TN, formerly of Memphis, TN passed away Tuesday May 12, 2015.

Mr. White was a resident of Garden Plaza Assisted Living where he resided the last 4 years after moving from Memphis where he was a longtime resident at St. Peter Manor. He attended Humes High School and was a World War II Navy veteran where he served as a signalman and was present when they raised the flag at Iwo Jima. Mr. White was a 40 year union painter and a wood carver having many magazine and newspaper articles published about his amazing work.

He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Phillips of Kenner, LA and his brother, Richard L. White Sr. (Margie) of Cleveland, Tennessee.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM in the Chattanooga National Cemetery, with the Navy providing honors.
