Rickey Adams

November 9, 1958 — May 8, 2024

Rickey Keith Adams, 65, of Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at their home in Chattanooga, Tennessee, after a year and a half battle with cancer.

He was born in Searcy, Arkansas in 1958 and grew up in Des Arc, Arkansas. Rick graduated Des Arc High School, and attended Arkansas State University before going to work in the oil and gas industry. He was an entrepreneur who opened 14 storefronts, including several convenience stores across the state of Arkansas, as well as several frozen yogurt stores, 3 Flamingos, which he named after his three daughters. Most recently he enjoyed his work as a home renovator.

Rick's life was shaped by his devotion to God. He shared the Gospel of Jesus, bringing light and hope to all around him. His faith was not only a source of personal strength but also an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rick was preceded in death by his uncle Guyman DeVore, and his brother Brian Bell. He is survived by his father Joe Adams, mother Malinda Bell; sister Donna Jean (Mike) McIntosh, sister Pam (Mike) Luckadoo, brother Rodney Adams, brother Randy Adams, sister JoEllen (Dewan) Laws; wife Lanan, daughters Rosa-Mae (Jack) Bacon, Candace (Jonah) Roberts, Madison Adams, his granddaughters Parker and Addison Bacon, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.

In lieu of a service, Rick asked his family to celebrate his life by spending time together at some of his favorite places. Rick was a member of The Gideons International, and memorial donations may be made in his name.
