Obituary
 Rick Martinez, 57, a resident of McDonald, TN died on Friday October 14, 2011 at his residence.Rick was born in Denver CO to the late Edward J. Martinez and Josephine Perea Martinez.  Rick was Honorably Discharged from the US Army where he served as a Specialist Fourth Class. He was a member of the Philippi Baptist Church, the Harrison Ruritan Club on Highway 58, and a Team National Marketing Director.  Rick and his wife Sheila moved to McDonald nine years ago from Sweetwater TN.  He was employed with the Chattanooga Heart Institute.   Rick loved people and people loved to be around him as was evidenced by his many patients he met thru his work.  He was a gifted guitarist and wonderful husband and companion to his wife Sheila of 11 years.Survivors include his wife Sheila Chance-Martinez; three brothers Paul Martinez of Jacksonville FL, Ed (Mae) Martinez and Fred Martinez all of Denver CO. a special aunt Louise Perea and special uncle Spike (Helen) Martinez also all of Denver CO. along with a host of other extended family members.The family will hold a memorial service to be announced at a later date.You can share your memories of Rick and also your condolences with the family by visiting www.compannionfunerals.comCompanion Funeral & Cremation Service has charge of the arrangements.
