Patsy Ann Arnett, 67, a life long resident of McMinn County, passed away peacefully at her home after a battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy on Monday, January 28th, 2019. Patsy was born on November 4th, 1951 to the late Kelly and Betty Shepherd. She worked for over 35 years for Kelly Shepherd & Sons Oil Company as well as the McMinn County Department of Education as a bus driver for over 20 years. Patsy was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, she served as secretary of the church for 37 years. She was a charter member and treasurer of the CMA Motorcycle Group Chapter #994. She married her High School sweet heart Paul Arnett right after high school. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on December 23rd, 2018. Patsy enjoyed life and spending time with her family, especially her three granddaughters. Patsy loved everyone, and everyone who met her loved her, she will be dearly missed by everyone. Patsy is proceeded in death by one son, Chris Arnett, her parents, Kelly and Betty Shepherd, and one sister, Susie Malone. Left to cherish her memory, husband of 49 years, Paul Arnett; one daughter, Stephanie Arnett; three granddaughters, Shelby Ann Malone, Melody Nicole Malone, and Kimberly Lauren Malone; three brothers, Kelly R. Shepherd, Jimmy Shepherd, and Herbert Shepherd. Nieces, Nephews, and other extended family members and friends also survive. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1st, 2019 at 7:00 Pm at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 Pm till the 7:00 service on Friday at the Church. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at 11:00 Am at McMinn Memory Gardens with Brian Wood, Chuck Avery, Rick Cate, Scott Thompson, Chase Cook, Wayne Malone, and Lucas Shepherd serving as pallbearers. Members of the CMA Motorcycle Group will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Maynard for taking care of her, as well as Englewood Fire Department and First Responders, and Hospice of Chattanooga for taking care of her before her passing.
