Nellie Mae Crowe

Nellie Mae Montgomery Crowe, 94, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Nellie was born on February 7, 1929, in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Leonard and Bonnie Montgomery. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her flowers, and cooking for those she loved. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jack H. Crowe Sr.; her siblings, Hazel Jones Cox, Clarence Montgomery, and Clifford Montgomery; and her son, Larry Crowe Sr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Gary (Connie) Crowe, Jack (Ketnipha) Crowe Jr., and Nancy Berry; sister, Frances Stiles; her grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Crowe, Ashley (Steven) Eaton, Tambra (Travis) Battle, Russell (Jennifer) Berry, Matthew Berry, Jamie Crowe, Joe (Amy) Crowe, and Paul Duang Prathum; and 11 great grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heart Hospice for their dedicated and thoughtful care of Nellie.

In lieu of flowers the family as that donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Nellie’s name.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Guinn Green officiating. Nellie’s grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
