Mark Holder

Mark James Holder went to his heavenly home on Tuesday September 26, 2023. He was the beloved son of Daniel and Sandra Holder. Mark was born February 6, 1973. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Ponder and Martha Brown Anderson and John Mark and Euna Ratcliff Holder. He was named after both his grandfathers.

Mark was a sweet soul and would light up a room with his crazy jokes and sense of humor. He was an avid artist. He enjoyed drawing and working on his building projects. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He harvested his first deer at 12 years old. He was a life-long Boy Scout, beginning in Cub Scouts all the way through earning his Eagle Scout in 1991. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 44 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Mark was a 1992 graduate of Bradley Central High School. After high school he earned his degree as an Auto Body Repair Technician from Nashville Auto Diesel College. He attended Cleveland State as well. He was the operator/owner of Holder's Mobile Detailing Service, after years of long distance truck driving. While growing up in Cleveland, Mark attended Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church where he gave his life to Christ.

Survivors include: His parents, Daniel B. and Sandra A. Holder, his son, Zachary Taylor Holder, whom he loved with all his heart. Also included: his sister, Jennifer K. Holder, her children, Jennah K. McKenzie and husband Chayse, Miah J. Pritchard, McKennah J. Pritchard, and Jeremiah A. Pritchard, II (Lil J) all of Cleveland.. He is also survived by many other relatives and special friends.

Services will be Friday, September 29, 2023 at Wesley Memorial Church with Reverends Ramon Torres, Chris Rouse, and Ted Woody officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: Zachary Holder, Chayse McKenzie, Jason McKenzie, Jeremiah Pritchard, II, Ted Woody, Jarod Bacon, and Paul Montgomery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 at Wesley Memorial Church with services beginning at 4pm. Interment will be the following day at 10 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens with a processional from Companion Funeral Home beginning at 9:30. Friends and Family are welcome to join at either location. Flowers and memorial donations can be sent to the church.
