Johnny L. Dunn

Johnny L. Dunn Jr., age 82, went back home to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at his home in Cleveland, TN after battling cancer. He is now in his spiritual body with no more pain. He was born June 1, 1938, in Cleveland, to Lewis and Ida Mae (Brown) Dunn. He was a 1956 graduate of Bradley Central High school. He married his high school sweetheart Juanita F. Ogle on December 24, 1956 in Ringgold, GA. They enjoyed over 63 years of marriage together. He retired from Magic Chef Stove Company where he worked as a foreman in the Steel Room. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, uncle, aunts, and cousins. He is survived by his wife, Juanita; one son, Jeff and wife Laurie (Waddell) Dunn; one granddaughter, Savannah and husband Dylan Cantrell; two grandsons, Ryan and Patrick; brother, Charles and wife Sandy; sister, Patsy Bullard (and deceased husband Jerry); sister, Linda and husband Roger King (of Fort Myers, FL); brother, Ron; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His three precious grandchildren were the loves of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, watching football, and watching car racing. He pitched for Magic Chef's softball team and was also on the bowling team. He was an E-5 Sergeant in the Army National Guard Of TN 117th Infantry and received an Honorable Discharge. He was a member of The Shepherd's Chapel church. The memorial service will be delayed due to the COVID virus.
