Frances Trippett

Frances M. Trippett, 89, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the family residence. Frances graduated from Fairmont General Hospital School of Nursing in 1954. She retired from nursing in 1991. She attended the St. Therese Catholic Church.

Frances was the cherished wife of Howard for 70 years, devoted mother of Howard, Carl (Eva), Michael (Andrea), John (Kathy); cherished grandmother of Samantha (Andrew) Godfrey, John (Anna Heath), Leeanna, Alyssa, Maelaina, Michael (Cherilyn); proud great grandmother of Shawn Hartung, Zayden Heath, Olivia, Jordyn, Patrick Godfrey, Kaylee Godfrey; dear sister to Verna Griggs; and her nephew, Jeffrey Griggs; other survivors include many loving nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces too numerous to mention.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Glen James Smith McGuire, and Mary Elizabeth (Wunder); her brothers, Charlie Smith, Glen J. "Buster" McGuire Jr. (Eldora), Kenneth W. McGuire (Roberta); sister, Elizabeth A. (Smith) Trippett (Carl E.), Hudson W. Griggs, and Sarah A. Griggs Poole.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church located at 900 Clingan Drive NW Cleveland, TN 37311 on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 1:00 pm with Father Mike Nolan officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm prior to mass. A graveside service is to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Carl Trippett, Michael Trippett, John Trippett, Andrew Godfrey, Jeffrey Griggs, and Michael Trippett II serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Therese Catholic Church Capital Funds Project at 900 Clingan Ridge Drive Cleveland, TN 37312.
