Ernestine Huskey

Ernestine Vaughn Huskey, 84, passed away peacefully at her Cleveland, TN home on Tuesday April 16, 2024. She was born on June 4, 1939 in Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Thomas Huskey, to whom she was married for 59 years when he passed away in 2017. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father, Ethel Murphy Vaughn and William Ernest Vaughn; daughter-in-law Cheryl Huskey; mother and father-in-law Clara Shannon Huskey and Charlie Huskey; sisters: Nancy Vaugh Moore and Wanda Vaughn Frazier and sister-in-law LaVada Huskey Gregg Fulton.

She is survived by her daughter Pam Huskey Simmons (Bobby) and son Tommy Huskey (Ann); granddaughter Jenni Simmons and great granddaughter Rhylee Simmons; sister Shirley Vaughn Huntsinger; brothers-in-law Richard Huskey (Caroline) and Dewey Huskey (Janice) and several nieces and nephews.

She was a 1957 graduate of Bradley Central High School and was a member of Waterville Baptist Church. She retired from American Uniform Company after 25 years of service. She enjoyed time with her family, bowling, camping, traveling, and cruises.

We want to thank everyone for all the calls, visits and cards during her extended illness and the Hospice workers.

Her family will receive friends from 3pm until 5pm on Saturday April 20th at Waterville Baptist Church, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 5pm. She will be laid to rest at Tasso United Methodist Church Cemetery.
