Earnest M Walker Jr.

Earnest M Walker Jr. , 81, of Athens passed away Wednesday July 19th, 2023. He was employed at Athens Furniture for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer and Softball coach for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earnest M. Walker Sr. and Wilie Mae Walker, his 4 sisters Henrietta Mullins, Jo Monday, Betty Walker, and Nettie Kugler, and his brother Charles (Bud) Walker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Brenda (Webb) Walker, 2 sons Tim (Sue) Walker, Brian Walker( Dayna Emert). His Daughter Liz (Ken) Sergeant, Grandson Nathan (Samantha) Walker, and one very special great granddaughter Rayleigh Walker. He also leaves behind his 2 brothers, Ray (Sandy) Walker and James Walker, his sister Marie Walker, his sister-in-law Kathy (David) Dow, and his brother-in-law Gary Webb. Earnest also leaves behind special friends Chuck and Diann Leaman, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

On Saturday, July 22nd, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm, the family would like to invite friends and family to share their memories of Earnest at Companion Funeral Home of Athens.
