In Loving Memory of Donald Lee Long

Donald Lee Long, 52, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, journeyed to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in the comfort of his home. Donald's heart was as expansive as the mountains he cherished, and his spirit soared among the peaks he so loved to explore through hiking.

A devoted Christian, Donald found solace in prayer and had an unwavering commitment to interceding for others, regardless of the time or place. His infectious smile was the beginning of many conversations, as he warmly engaged with those around him, spreading joy wherever he went.

As an outstanding father to his beloved son, Justin, Donald's paternal love and guidance shaped a lasting legacy of compassion and strength. His impact extended beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many others.

Donald was an active member of the East Daisy Church of God, where he found community and shared his faith. Professionally, he contributed his skills to the construction industry, leaving a mark with his hard work and dedication.

In remembrance of Donald's life, a memorial service will be held by the family Sunday November 19th, 2023 at 4:00 PM at the East Daisy Church of God, with Bishop Jackie Penney officiating. As we celebrate the memory of Donald Lee Long, let us reflect on the joy he brought to our lives and the love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Donald was preceded in death by father, Donald Long Jr., and his sister, Donna Jump. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Long, and their cherished son, Justin Long.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to [charity of choice] in Donald's honor.
