Armon "Gene" Keltch

Armon "Gene" Keltch 77, of Wildwood, GA, passed away peacefully at his home on September 10, 2023, after a courageous battle with Cancer. Gene gave his all and was one seriously brave soul that will be forever respected, cherished, and remembered.

Gene was a retired Sales Rep after many years with HT Hackney. Known and loved by many as the candy man. He always had the new samples to share. His faith was nondenominational.

Gene loved his pets. He was the president of the Doberman Pincher Club of Chattanooga, TN for several years, loved to cook, loved to garden, loved to get lost in sci-fi movies and classical music. Gene also loved sharing family trips to the beach, and to Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg. He never shied away from the number of guests his philosophy was the more the marrier, nor did he ever meet a stranger.

Preceded in death by - Annie Brown (Rhea Co, TN) grandmother, Ruby Keltch Gallahan (Soddy Daisy, TN) mother, Canzady Payne (Soddy Daisy, TN) sister, Marcella Snyder (Soddy Daisy, TN) sister, Roger Ledford (Chickamauga, GA) brother-in-law, Terrel Wilson (Bryant AL) brother-in-law, and Irene Moore (Wildwood, GA) grandmother, & a slew of fur babies.

Survived by his loving Husband - Billyjoe (Snuffy) Keltch, and his pet babies Patches, Lucy, Scarlett, & Shug; Uncle Billy Keltch (Cathy) Burnet TX; siblings, Thomas Gallahan, Jr., of Soddy Daisy, TN and Donnie Keltch of Cleveland, TN; In-laws- Sherry Ragan (Darrell) of Monticello, KY, Christina Freeman (Jamie Tirey) of Soddy Daisy, TN, & Kym Davis of Chickamauga, GA, Paula Anderson (Steven) of Ringgold, GA, Phillip Wilson (Leighann Harbin) of Ft. Payne, AL, Robin Wilson Bryant AL, Thomas McDowell (Tina) of Chattanooga, TN & Michael McDowell (Red Bank, TN) & Cody Wilson (Henagar, AL) & Sandy Hampton (Trenton, GA) mother-in-law, Billy McDowell (Deskie) of Red Bank, TN (father/mother - in - law).

While Gene may have never had any kids of his own, he has a legacy of kids that he has loved both near, and far. That being said let's introduce the crew of his life!

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Companion Funeral Home-Chattanooga Chapel, 6018 John Douglas Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421. A celebration of Gene's life will be held at 7:00 PM, in the chapel. Pastor Jason Brooks officiating.
