Willie Faye Chase

Willie Faye Chase, 80, a lifelong resident of Cleveland went to her Heavenly home on Sunday morning, July 21, 2019. She born in Cleveland on September 28, 1938, a daughter of the late Thomas & Margie Murray. She received her Associates Degree from Cleveland State Community College and served in various occupational capacities throughout her life. Willie was an active member of West Cleveland Baptist Church and had a great love for her church family. Through the years she served in various church roles including past president of the WMU, assistant director of the Sonshiners, Chairman of the Hostess Committee, and Sunday School teacher in the children’s department. She loved to cook and was locally known for her great homemade pies. Willie also enjoyed spending time and having lunch with her five special friends known as “The Happy Six.” Most of all, she loved her family and will be remembered for being a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by an infant brother, Billy Ray Murray, and another brother, Eddie Murray.

Willie leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Ralph Chase, two sons, Randy Chase (Debbie), Tim Chase (Cindy), one daughter, Sha’Ree Chase Morgan (Greg), four granddaughters, Tara Miller (Michael), Jennifer McClements (Chris), Shayna Kunselman (Grant) , Sydney Morgan, and six great grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by two brothers, Jimmy Murray (Sheila) and Dennis Murray (Faith), numerous other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at 3:30 PM at West Cleveland Baptist Church located at 1959 Westland Drive SW in Cleveland, TN. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the 3:30 PM service time. Reverend Matt Ward and Reverend Arris Cavender will officiate.

The interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Bill Lee, Albert Belcher, Bryan Gentry, J.B. Mull, David Chase, Brent Mathews and Kevin Williams serving as pallbearers.
