William "Willie" Travis Ellis

William Travis Ellis, born on August 22, 1990, was granted his angel wings on March 17, 2022. Willie’s life would seem short to whose who didn’t know him. The quality of his life far, far exceeded the time he spent with us. He had a heart of gold, filled with a touch of fire. He loved the color green. He was the kind of man who would help family and friends at the drop of a hat and never met a stranger. He would give his last dollar to put a smile on your face. He loved to go fast and sometimes ride real slow whenever it felt good.

Willie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilma and Charlie Gilbreath of Head River, GA and his Aunt Beverly Hixson.

He is survived by his mother, Vickie Gilbreath and his father Ron Ellis (Camilla); Aunt “duhduh” Gloria Gilbreath; brother John Alexander and his kids Hannah, Kyler, and Gabe; brother Rusty Jenkins and his kids Maddie and Colin; sister Tina Wooten; cousins Jeremy and shelly Mathews, Brandy Hixson (Ryan) and kids, Jessie Garrett(Ron) and kids, Jason and Joe Lawhon. The list of family friends is endless.

A graveside service will be held at the Gilbreath Family Graveyard at 12:30 on Saturday 26, 2022 followed by a celebration of his life at the Head River Baptist Church afterwards at 1:30 PM. Companion Funeral Home and the Cody family are honored to assist the Ellis family with these arrangements.
