Virginia "Ginny" Lorine Taylor

Virginia “Ginny” Lorine Taylor, 89, passed away on January 6, 2020. She was born on April 12, 1930 to the late Louis and Verda Sanders. Ginny lived most of her life in Tennessee and Florida, just moving to Cleveland this past year. Ginny was a member of Saint Anne of Grace Episcopal Church in Seminole, Florida. She was also a gifted seamstress and loved to crochet. She was very active in a women’s ministry with her church in Florida that allowed her to use those specific gifts to minister to others. She was also very active in the theater in Florida working, sewing costumes, and even acting. She was a lifelong member of Beta Sigma Phi and was very active in chapters in Indiana, Tennessee, and Florida.
In addition to her mother and father she is preceded in death by husband Robert B. Taylor; son Michael J. Turner and brothers Noel Ed Sanders and Billy Wayne Sanders.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two daughters Karen D. Griffith (Bill) and Lynne A. Turner; sister Juanita Brown; grandchildren: Jeff Turner, Jennifer Harders (Paul), Dawn Zerk, Elizabeth Griffith, Daniel Griffith (Amanda), and Johnathan Turner; great grandchildren: Marques Harders, Mikayla Harders, Arabella Zerk, Zachary Isaac Zerk, Madelyn Harders, Chloe Zerk, Greyson Griffith, and Sloan Griffith. In addition to these she leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday January 10, 2020 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A committal service will be held in the Chapel of Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Saturday January 11, 2020 at 11:00am.
