Viola J. Miller

Viola J. Miller, 94, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 14, 2016 into the hands of her heavenly father. She was born on April 29, 1922 to the late Dallas Decatur Jones and Josephine Lee Jones. She was a very godly woman and loved Christian music. Viola will always be remembered as a very caring, energetic, and generous person. She was always a tremendous joy to be around and will be forever missed by all who knew her. Viola loved her family dearly and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a terrific homemaker and a wonderful cook. In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband Thomas D. Miller; grandson Aaron Miller; three sisters: Ressie Mae Wade, Maggie Wade, Pearl Jones; brothers Lester Jones and Carl Jones. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Veneda Bean (George); two sons Charles Miller and Alan Miller; grandchildren: Vadonna Malone (Kenneth), Cherie Nations (Clay), Joy Burgess (Bob), Russell Bean, Wendy Davenport, Valerie Smitty, Lacey Miller; great grandchildren Jay Leggett III, Grant Leggett, Vallyn Burgess, Sidney Davenport, Caylan Davenport, Nolan Bean, Rylan Bean, Autumn Miller, Justice Brackett, Sampson Hale, Alicia Smitty, and Zachary Smitty; great great grandson Laken Stone and a special sister in law Mary Ellen Jones. A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday July 17, 2016 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. Interment will follow the service at Lee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until the 3:00pm service time at the funeral home on Sunday.
