Velma Pearl Rogers

Velma Pearl Rogers, 97, of Chattanooga, TN passed away on January 20, 2018. She was born on March 10, 1920 to the late Horace and Mamie Shelton. Velma has lived in the Chattanooga area since around 1950. She was of the Church of God Faith. Velma was affectionately known as “Mimi” and she loved quilting, crocheting, and looking at old photo albums. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband Flenoy Rogers; her son Flenoy Rogers Jr; and two sisters and one brother.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her brother Raymond Shelton; grandsons Jesse Rogers (Misty) and Adam Rogers (Angie); great grandchildren: Jessica Rogers, Valla Rogers, Berkley Rogers, and Elliott Rogers. In addition to these she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members an friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm EST on Thursday January 25, 2018 at Riverview Cemetery in Fayetville, TN.
