Thomas Walter Hunt

Thomas Walter Hunt, 74, of Cleveland went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his residence. He was born November 22, 1944 in Wheeler, Texas where he was raised. He retired from Bendix after 33 years. Thomas proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He was a loving husband, dad, and papaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lillie Mae Hunt of Wheeler, Texas and several brothers and sisters of Texas.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Janet Hunt; daughters, Lafonda Godfrey (Mitchell) and Tammy Barham (Tony); grandchildren, Heather Jett (Ricky), Tristan Fowler, Justin Godfrey, and Tiana Barham; great granddaughter Adalie Godfrey, all of Cleveland; sister, Shirley Davis of Pampa, Texas; brother, Melvin Hunt of Brisco, Texas; several nieces, nephews; and numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland, Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm. Graveside services will be Monday, August 5, 2019 at 10am in Cedar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gene Smith officiating. Pall bearers will be Mitchell Godfrey, Tony Barham, Justin Godfrey, Tristan Fowler, Ricky Jett, and Reed Sullivan.
