Thomas Hugh Burgess

Thomas Hugh Burgess, 70, of Cleveland, TN passed away on February 1, 2019. He was born on April 5, 1948 in Lavonia, GA. He has lived in Cleveland for the past four years and was the V.P. of Finance with Fairway Advertising. Tom was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and work in the garden. Additionally, he was a very gifted woodworker. He was also a Georgia Bulldogs fan.
He is preceded in death by his father Hugh Burgess.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years, Pat Burgess; mother Virginia Burgess; daughter Melissa Werley; sister Jennifer Burgess of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren: Elijah Werley and Ava Werley.
The family will receive friends at 11:00am on Sunday February 3, 2019 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A graveside service will follow visitation at 12:00pm at Lee Cemetery.
