Thelma Boehmer Hall

Thelma Boehmer Hall, 97 of Niceville, Fl. passed away Monday morning, May 2, 2016 at a local hospital. She was born June 2, 1918, to the Rev. E. J. Boehmer and Millie Pearl Odom Boehmer in McMinnville, TN. She spent the majority of her life in Cleveland, TN. Thelma was of the Church of God faith. Thelma and her husband Don purchased a cabin in a Camp in Wimauma, FL where they regularly spent their winters. She was a true woman of God and will be truly missed by all those who knew her.

Thelma enjoyed gospel music, down home cooking, gardening, crochet, quilting (working with her hands). In her later years she enjoyed her senior center dominos and bingo.
The last five years of her life she lived at the Beehive Homes of Niceville. She enjoyed reading her diaries, playing Scrabble, and karaoke brought to her room weekly by her friend LaNae Grover. She had a keyboard in her bedroom and loved to play gospel music and the oldies.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husbands, Isaac Pilgrim, Sherman (Don) Donahue and Houston Hall; parents, E. J. & Millie Boehmer; brothers, Flavis, Grady and Hugh Boehmer and a sister, Macon Boehmer.

Survivors include a daughter Glenda (Don) Sharpe; brother, Eldron Boehmer (Jennie); and sisters, Montez Ellison, Lois Sherlin, Gelene Tribble (Stanley) and Melba Caylor; grandchildren, Michael (Sharon) Tinsley and Christina Stadfeld; greatgrands, Kristin and Michael Tinsley, Christopher Cabello, Maddux and Ava Rose and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life is planned for Friday, May 6th, 2016 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Cy Harris officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home parlor from 1:00 PM until the 2:30 PM service time. A private interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery.

A special thanks to Leslie and Steve Walker, owners of Beehive Homes, Bonnie Cain, Manager and all the staff who gave her loving care.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made either to the Unity Sunday School Class Tape Ministry c/o the North Cleveland Church of God 335 11th Street NE in Cleveland, TN 37311 or the charity of your choice.
