Terri Howe

January 28, 1961 — March 15, 2021

Terri Renee Howe, 60, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 in Apison, TN.

Terri was born January 28,1961 in Knoxville, TN. And later moved with her family to Chattanooga, TN. It was here that Terri would finish school, meet the father of her children and raise a family of her own.

Terri was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Mary Howe, sister Stephanie Shumaker and father of her children David Alan Cates.

Terri was the second born child of Ted and Mary Howe. She was the 1972 Miss Dixie Youth for East Brainerd Youth Association. And was a lifelong member of Hickory Valley Christian Church. She was a 1979 Graduate of Tyner High School. Throughout her school years Terri's activities included cheerleading, Girls Scouts Brownies and fast pitch softball. She was fond of the sport and always proud of her pitch!

Terri is survived by her four children, Nicholas Howe, Ashley Howe (Smokey) Bowers, David Tyler (Joy) Howe and Joshua Howe; Grandchildren Breanna, Alyssa and Cooper; step grandchildren Hannah and Austin; Siblings, Cindy (Allen) Guillory, Douglas (Jackie) Howe, Beverly (Don) Warner, Robert (Rachel) Foster, Bryon (Jimmie) Foster, Kimberly Phillips; Uncle Don (Alison); many adoring neices and nephews; And her dear lifelong friends Joe and Annette Henshall, Tiffany Thacker and Alice Owsley.

For most of Terri's years she served as a caregiver to all of those around her. Even turning it into a full blown career and kick starting her very own successful business. Her squamous cell carcinoma diagnosis was met with the same spit and fire that Terri had given her entire life. Terri left this earth on her own terms up until her final moments.

Terri truly enjoyed life. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. And sharing her sarcastic wit and infectious laugh with everyone around her.

Special Thanks to her baby boy, Josh, for sticking by her side every single step that she took and being the support she needed.

The family would like to take a moment to give a special thanks to Candace Layne for all of her assistance and support during, not only their mother's loss, but also their father's a few short years ago.

Terri's celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
