Obituary

Sybil Irene Mason, 84, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 6, 2015. She was born on May 4, 1930 to the late Mark Harold and Lummie Irene Phillips. Sybil was born in Cleveland and had been a lifelong resident of this area. She loved spending time quilting, crocheting, reading, and enjoying the company of her cats. Above all things, she loved her family and spending time with them. She will forever be remembered as a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Ralph Phillips, infant brother Harlan Phillips; and husband Hershel Mason.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughter Valerie Gregg (Dale); son Phillip Mason; grandchildren: Megan Casteel and Talisha Beard; great grandchildren Makenna Goode, Alanna Beard, and Caleb Casteel. In addition to these, she leaves behind several other extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Monday April 13, 2015 at Companion Funeral and Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Pastor Ken Purdie officiating. Interment will follow the service at Calhoun Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm-3:00pm prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
