Robert Lee Brown

November 10, 1940 — October 6, 2019

Robert Lee Brown, affectionately known as "Sparky", passed peacefully from this life October, 6 2019 at 1:40PM at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga, TN. He is survived by his daughters, Sydney (Bege) Rogers, of Chattanooga, and Mary Carmen Brown of Asheville NC.
A Chattanooga icon and world traveler, Sparky was a lover of music, magic, and people. He was a story-teller, a Civil War enthusiast, and a collector of all things mystical. He may be best known for his hand-embroidered tunic and his many writings, including innumerable "Letters to the Editor" of the Times Free Press. Sparky had also written a Civil War based novel titled "King Philip and The General", which his family still hopes to eventually have published. Words cannot describe his eclectic nature nor how much he will be missed by friends and family. The world shines a little dimmer for us all now. Please join us to celebrate his life, and remember his Light, Love and Laughter! Sparky's Memorial/Celebration will be held Sunday, November 10th at 3pm, at Christ Unity (Charles and Myrtle's Coffeehouse) on McBrien Rd, where he was a long-time member. It would have been his 79th birthday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider a donation toward final expenses and related expenditures. A PayPal account has been set up specifically for this and any amount is greatly appreciated. (https://paypal.me/pools/c/8jiv25lvq5)
