Rachel Gentry

Rahcel Gentry was born April 8th, 1943 in Cleveland, TN. She currently resided in Decatur, TN. Rachel attended Hopewell Church of God and was a former member of North Cleveland church of God.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents; Burch and Lennie Bishop; siblings, Blanche Trotter, Winnie Floyd, Evelyn Conner, Johnnie Gentry, Dave Ann Maney, Steve Bishop, and Vickie Cain.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald Gentry Sr; her children, Donna (Charles) Duckett, Kim (Jessie) Duckett, and Don Gentry Jr.; her brother, Burch Bishop; grandchildren, Kassandra Swafford, Alex Kolby, Anissa Duckett, and Caleb Gentry; great grandchildren, Dakota Hardin, Canyon Williams, Will, Oakley, Emily, and John Duckett and several greatly loved nieces and nephews.
Rachel loved to study her bible, crochet, and eat ice cream. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and child of God. She loved her family with all her heart, but she loved the Lord even more. If you knew her, you knew her face and spirit shone with his goodness and anointing from the Lord. She touched so many live and said as many prayers for those same people. We know she has now heard the Lord say “Well done, my good and faithful servant. She will be greatly missed by all but most of all, her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at Hopewell Church of God on Sunday, June 27th located at 5765 Eureka Road NW, Cleveland, TN. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:30 with the service and graveside to following immediately after. The service will be officiated by Pastor Clifford Waters.
