Paul Hughston Myers, age 76, of Sweetwater, TN, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 23, 2021.

He was preceded in death by parents, Rev. Paul J. Myers & Gladys Evelyn Gaston; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys Evelyn and James Johnson; brother and sister-in-laws, Johnny & Alice Sweet, Jerry Sweet, Cathy Sweet Peak; and good friends, Allen Frye and Joe North.

Paul is survived by wife of 54 years, Linda Sweet Myers; son, Andrew Hughston Myers, Sr. and wife, Hope Myers; daughter, Ginger Rizijs and husband, Guntars Rizijs; son, Cameron Myers; beloved mother-of-great grandchildren, Shelley McDonald. Grand children Andrew Hughston Myers, Jr.. and wife, Elizabeth Myers; grandchild, Paul Logan Myers and wife, Caitlyn Myers; grandchild, Carrigan Myers; and grandchild, Alek Rizijs. Great grand-children Olivia, Madalyn, Audree Myers, ( mother Shelly McDonald) and Paul Logan's children, Adovin, and Soren Myers. Everly Myers ( Mother Laura Spalding) . Sister in laws Charlotte Moore, Melissa Edgemon, and Helen Sweet. Several nieces and nephews. Special friends are Alma Skinner , Bob Wheeler, Edward Lee, Jerry Farrell, Eugene Russell, Tommy Reynolds. Also other countless number of friends and wonderful neighbors.

He was a graduate of Donaldson TN Law Enforcement Academy and was a sergeant for McMinn Co. Sheriff’s Dept. He also worked for Case Enterprises, where he drove a truck many miles across the US. He was well respected and loved by his peers. He was a good father and husband, always giving to others in need.

His hobbies included working on classic cars, riding his Harley, and chasing Linda around the house. She was his rock, best friend, confidante, and caregiver. Always together, he will be dearly missed by her.

Per wishes, Paul will be cremated with no funeral service. In Lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Fresh Start Ministry services of Sweetwater, TN.
