Obituary

Nettie Evelyn Herron, 53, a resident of Old Fort, TN passed away on Thursday, July 16th, 2015 in a Chattanooga hospital. Nettie was born on June 4th, 1962 a daughter of the Bobby & Lola Barker. She will be forever remembered and was loved by many for her big heart and generous giving spirit.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her fianc Gary McPherson.
Nettie leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Larry Gates Jr. (Ashley), two daughters Stephanie Herron (Stacey Hembree) and Shannon Burchfield, fianc Benny Murphy, three brothers James Herron, Mike Herron and Bobby Gene Barker Jr., special friend Valerie Burns Hart, eight grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A memorial service celebrating her life is planned for Tuesday night, July 21st, 2015 at 8:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM until the 8:00 PM service time.
