Nelda Vian Mccarter

Nelda Vian McCarter, age 87, passed away on September 13, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 5, 1932 in McDonald, TN to Joe F. and Euline Schabell.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William E. McCarter; siblings, Howard Schabell, Franklin Schabell and Nada Lea Lauderback; grandson, Jacob Woodby.
Nelda was an intelligent woman with immense inner strength, resilience, and an unshakable faith, that lived to make the lives of everyone around her better. Her Infectious laughter and smile will be missed dearly everyday.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Renee Woodby; son, Nathan McCarter; brother, Grady Schabell and his wife, Betty Nell; brother-in-law, Jack McCarter; granddaughter, Jessica Woodby-Denema and her husband, Peter; great-grandson, Job Woodby.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 16th at 3:30pm in Lee Cemetery in McDonald, TN.
