Max Richard Cavitt

Max Richard Cavitt, age 77, of Cleveland passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022.

Max was born in Cleveland on February 19, 1945, to the late Carl and Irene (Davis) Cavitt. A graduate of Bradley Central High School, he then served his country faithfully in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Max retired from Johns Manville in Etowah after 30 years of service in 2010. After his retirement, Max continued to do the things he loved: being a doting father and grandfather, playing golf and cards and rooting for his beloved Vols and Braves.

Max was of the Methodist faith.

Max leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Sherry (Ellis) Cavitt; sons, Heath (Joelle) and Adam (Erica) Cavitt; grandchildren, Reese, Avery, and Jaxson Cavitt and Brody Bible; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Dee Cavitt; sister, Gayle Lisenba; aunt, Lorraine Villareal; and many nieces and nephews.
