Mary Glen Smith Davis

Mary Glen Smith Davis, 91, of Cleveland, TN passed away on March 14, 2020. She was born on December 13, 1928 to the late Charles and Myrtle Smith. Mary was a lifelong resident of this area and active member of First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and playing Bridge. Above all else, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John Austin Davis; son John Austin Davis III “Johnny.” She is also preceded in death by her three brothers: Dale Smith, Jack Smith, and Ted Smith.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Jeffery Davis and daughter Leigh Ann Gleason; grandchildren: Andrew Davis (Christy), Matthew Davis, Charlie Davis, Laura Patterson (Brian), Evan Davis (Jaclyn), Anna Fair (Brent), Chris King, and Katy DeFriese (Travis); great grandchildren: Kensley, Austin, Emily, Luke, Liam, Jett, Jackson, Carson, Davis, Parker, and Jack. In addition to these, Mary leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 3:00pm on Wednesday March 18, 2020 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm with interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
