Margaret Ruth Beck

Obituary
Margaret Ruth Beck, 98, of Cleveland, TN passed away on January 18, 2015 at Signature Healthcare in Cleveland. She was born on March 14, 1916 to the late Dailey and Fannie Howell. She was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and of the Baptist Faith. She was the oldest member of Big Springs Baptist Church and had a special dedication in her honor two years ago during the church's 100th anniversary celebration. She loved being outdoors and working in her yard. Doing each of these things made her very happy. Above all things, she was loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that cared for her family.
In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband of more than seventy years, Troy J. Beck; three sisters: infant sister Zelma Howell, Mable West (Harvey), and Pauline Martin (Deo); two brothers: Tommy Howell and Delmer Howell (Eunice).
She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Larry Beck (Laura); sister Wilma Treadwell (Horace); three grandchildren: Rachael Beck Searcy (Jim), Kevin Beck (Noelle), and Phillip Beck; four great-grandchildren Alexandra Searcy, James Searcy, Ben Searcy, and Gabbi Beck; in addition to these, she leaves behind the mother of her grandchildren Joanne Beck and several other nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday January 21, 2015 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. The family will receive friends from 11:00am-1:00pm prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Phillip Beck, Kevin Beck, Jim Searcy, and Larry Beck serving as pallbearers.
