Lois Paden Williams

April 18, 1927 — January 16, 2016

Lois Paden Williams, age 88, died peacefully January 16, 2016. Lois was born April 18, 1927 in Parkersburg, W. VA, the youngest of 5 children. She graduated from Mt. Vernon Academy in 1946 and attended Emanuel Missionary College to receive training in accounting. She worked most of her life as a meticulous accountant. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist church. She and her husband were diligent in supporting ADRA, missions and 3ABN.
She was a "people" person who loved to laugh, make quilts, crochet, do cross-stitch, paint and write poetry. Her Christmas letter was often a poem about their year, set to the tune of a Christmas carol or a hymn. She taught organ, piano and voice wherever she lived. She also loved doing puzzles; the Samaritan Center would give her the puzzles they received as donations and she would put them together to make sure no pieces were missing. We spent many happy hours helping her do that! She was an AVID Atlanta Braves fan!

She was preceded in death, last January, by her husband Mark Williams, by her parents, Charles Marion Paden and Josephine Smith Paden, her three brothers Marion A. Paden, Cecil Paden and Leon Paden, and her sister, Ludivine (Ludy) Paden Strickler.

She is survived by her nieces Linda Strickler Johnston (David), Sharon Paden Wright and Charlene Paden Wilson (Tom), and her nephews Clifford Paden, Ken Paden (Ann) ,Lindsay Paden,( Laurie), Stephen Paden (Rose Ellen) and her dear friend Faith Bennington Irwin.

Many thanks to the wonderful people of West 2 at The Health Center at Standifer Place and Hospice of Chattanooga for giving her such loving care.

Donations may be made to ADRA or to Hospice of Chattanooga in lieu of flowers. Services will be announced later.
