Lois Kathryn Porter

Lois Katherine (Fugate) Porter, 83, of Spring City, TN went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 3rd, 2016 at Spring City Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist faith & a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Lois is retired from Kayser Roth Hosiery in Dayton, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence & Grace Fugate, one daughter Ronna Porter, one son Mark Porter, one sister Loucille Roberts and three brothers Raymond Fugate, Bryan Fugate and Earl Fugate.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter and son in-law Linda & Joe Simpson of Niota, TN, one son and daughter in law J. L. & Pam Porter of Spring City, TN, grandchildren Ronna Bunch (Richard) of Dayton, TN and Shane Price (Shannon) of Spring City, TN, three great grandchildren Addison Price, Brandalynn Bunch and Tyler Price, one brother Ray Fugate of Ooltewah, TN, one sister in law Elsie Fugate of McMinnville, TN, numerous other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday, April 5th, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church located at 2219 Watts Bar Highway in Spring City, TN with Pastor Steve Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in the Porter-Hill Cemetery with Shane Price, Troy Pierce, Richard Bunch, Mike Neal, Jeff Hill, David Price & Tyler Price will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Smith, Bill Anderson & Roland Garrison.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the 2:00 PM service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the New Hope Baptist Church in Lois’s memory.
