Lloyd Steve Green

Lloyd Steve Green, 64, of Cleveland, TN passed away on March 13, 2016. He was born on April 22, 1951 to the late Olin and Edna Styles Green. Steve was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of First Baptist Church. Steve retired from Bowater after 34 years of service. He was an avid gardener with a love for landscaping. Steve also loved traveling. Above all things, however, he was an extremely kind hearted man that was a loving husband and had a tremendous love for the Lord.
In addition to his mother and father, Steve is preceded in death by his brother Leo Green; brother in law James Bailey and sister in law Paula Green.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 45 years, Wanda Green; brothers: Terry Green (Jo), Dale Green, Wayne Green, Ken Green, and Dennis Glenn Green; sister Barbara Bailey; brothers in law Kenneth Mikel (Juanita) and Dewayne Mikel (Betty); sisters in law Mary Ann Owens (Larry) and Carol Gray (Barry). In addition to these, he leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday March 17, 2016 at Philippi Baptist Church located at 2484 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Dr. Sammy Hooker officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
