Linda Naomi White

Linda Naomi Smith White, age 71 of Cleveland, TN crossed over from this earth to an eternity with God on March 24, 2020. She passed peacefully at her home under the care of Hearth Hospice. Linda who was a lifelong resident of Cleveland began working at an early age at the Cleveland Drapery Shop, a family owned and operated business. There she became a skilled seamstress creating custom draperies for nearly 30 years. She also found great joy in designing and sewing clothing for her daughters and herself. Later in life, she changed directions in her career. Around the age of 40 she earned a nursing degree. She proudly served as a Registered Nurse at Bradley Healthcare and Rehabilitation for many years. She loved her patients and their families. Ms. White was affiliated with the organizations of the Rainbow Girls, Eastern Star and Lady Shriners. Of all the things she achieved during her life, the thing she was most proud of was raising three wonderful daughters whom she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her father, Alex Smith and mother, Edna Smith Inscore; siblings, Sarah Sue Smith Trentham, Joseph Smith and Daniel Smith. She leaves behind her beloved companion of over 20 years, Jerome Benn; loving daughters, Michelle DeFriese Bingham (Todd) Randles, Tonya DeFriese Long (Huey) and Ronda White Ogle (Barry); grandchildren, Amber Bingham Scoggins (Brad), Colten Bingham, Ramie Fulton Best (Matt), Jesse Fulton, Noah Green, Natalie Long and Benjamin Long; great grandchildren, Autumn and Brooklyn Scoggins; sisters, Georgia Ruth Smith Byrd (late Dan Byrd) and Caroline Smith Crowe (William) and numerous nieces and nephews. The family extends a warm and heartfelt thank you to the very special people at Hearth Hospice and Amber Willis of Ardent Care.

Out of respect and concern for public health and safety, the family has chosen to schedule a memorial service for a later date.
