Linda Faye Long

Linda Faye Long, 68, a current resident of Riceville passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Starr Regional Hospital in Athens. Linda was born on October 29, 1949 in Cleveland, TN a daughter of the late Ardell & Mary Parker. She has been a resident of this area her entire life. Linda was a member of Clearview Baptist Church. She was retired from Duracell Corporation of Cleveland. Linda was an avid animal lover. She also enjoyed taking pictures, collecting antique furniture and taking care of her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Terry Parker.
Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory her two sons Kevin Shelton and his wife Melissa of Dunlap, TN and Ronnie Shelton and his wife Stacey of Nashville, TN, three grandchildren Dustin Shelton, Peyton Shelton and Courtney Shelton, her dearest and best friend Lamone Rose of Englewood, brother Ron Parker and sister Betty Parker. She is also survived by numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A graveside service is planned for Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery in Benton, TN with the Reverend Chad Denton officiating.
