Larry Black

Obituary
After battling not one, but five types of cancer, Larry Black,70, went to be with the Lord.

He is preceded in death by his wife and best friend of 32 years: Debbie, by his parents Taylor Black and Clela Black-Mason, in-laws Roy and Doris Greene and friends and neighbors: Bill & Faye Burns.

Larry is 32nd Degree Master Mason and a retiree of Mohawk Industries.

He leaves behind his two daughters: Nicole Torbett, husband Will of Cleveland,TN and Amber Blevins of Goshen, Oh, his grandson, his "Little Man" and light of his life: Liam Torbett all three to cherish the loving, caring memory of their Daddy and Papaw.

Larry also leaves behind two sisters: Louise Lawson and Deanna McKenzie, both of Cleveland. His sisters in law: Jane Schmidt, husband Dale of Oxford, Oh., Karen Wiseman, husband Ken of Ackworth, Ga., Stephanie Miller, husband Tim of Forest Park, Oh. and Carol Whitehill, husband Dean of Fairfield, Oh. Brothers in law: Steven Greene, wife Renee of Batavia, Oh., Larry Greene and Doug Greene, wife Nancy all of Hamilton, Oh. His life long best friend Lanny Blakeman, wife Cheryl of Dillonvale,Oh. along with multiple neices, nephews and other friends also survive to remember his nontraditional sense of humor.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Wednesday January 21, 2015 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm-6:00pm prior to the service on Wednesday.
