Jessie Mae Humphrys

Jessie Mae Humphrys passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at her residence. At age 101, Jessie was the oldest member of Benton Station Baptist Church and the Benton Station Community. She was a faithful and active member for over 75 years. She retired from American Uniform after 37 years. She loved singing, watching birds, flowers, sewing, repairing clothing and rocking babies.

Preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Humphrys and Louisa Lock Humphrys; siblings Homer, Claud, Oscar, Amy, Floyd, Lorina and Marie.

Survived by her caregiving family: niece, Jeannette Humphrys Cochran (Bill); great-nieces and nephew, LaRonda Cochran, Lisa Cochran Miles (John), and Billy Hoss Cochran (Brandy); great-great nieces, Jessica Miles, Alison Miles Hawk (Steven), Nattalie Miles Passmore (Christian), Harlie and Chloe Cochran; great-great-great nieces and nephews, Miles, Liam, Ronin, Blakely & Elias Hawk, MaKenna & Mavery Passmore; and a host of many special nieces and nephews and their extended families, many lifelong friends, and a very special church family & Benton Station Community. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Benton Station Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or church.

A Graveside Service was held at Benton Station Cemetery on Saturday, July 25, 2020 in Benton, TN, with nephew Richard Tallent and Bro. Guinn Green officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Steven & Miles Hawk, Christian Passmore, Hayden & Jonah Darnell, Matthew Passmore, Colby Maynor and Junior Yates. Honorary pallbearers were Ed & Wayne Lawson, Johnny Pippenger and Johnny Miles. Miss Jessie loved her special pastors, Bro. Ryan Potts and Associate Pastor Bro. Steve Ross.
