Jerry Lou Rogers

Jerry Lou Rogers a lifelong resident of this area passed away on Friday morning, June 28, 2019 at her home. She was born on February 9, 1939 in Etowah, TN a daughter of the late C. L. & Nannie Lou Davis. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Jerry and her family operated the family farm for many years. She enjoyed riding thru the mountains and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Buddy Ben Rogers and one brother Stan Davis.
Jerry leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Skip Rogers and his wife Elizabeth and one daughter Tonya Lowe and her companion Steve Adams, one sister Judy Bivens, two brothers Don Davis and Randy Davis (Debby), five grandchildren Angel Rogers, Travis Lowe (Catrice), Tasha Lowe (Jordan Long) Courtney Jones (Eric) and Emily Disney (Josh), eight great grandchildren, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Monday evening, July 1, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home of Athens located at 400 S White Street with the Reverend Robbie Hatcher officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM service time.
The interment and committal service will take place on Tuesday morning, July 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
