Jeanne Barbette (Snyder) Underwood, 62, loving mother and grandmother, died on Tuesday, July 29, 2014.

Jeanne was born November 4, 1951, in Cleveland, TN and was a long-time resident of both Cleveland and Chattanooga.

Before recently retiring, she spent nearly 30 years in the banking industry. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with close friends. For many years, she was an active member of St. Albans Church of Hixson, TN.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Coleman Snyder. She is survived by her Father, Clyde Snyder of Cleveland; son, Jay Underwood of Chattanooga; sister, Rheta Beck and brother-in-law, Tab Beck of Chattanooga, sister, Cathy Lowe of Cleveland; brother, Robbie Snyder and sister-in-law Linda Snyder, of Cleveland; grandchildren, Addison, Preston and Brinley Underwood of Chattanooga; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Erlanger Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center for their compassionate and skilled care.

A private memorial service will be held at St Albans Church in Chattanooga for close friends and family. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
