Obituary

Jay Vee Hicks, 84, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Friday November 21, 2014. He was born on May 20, 1930 to the late George and Myrtle Hicks.

In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his wife Marie; three sisters: Esther, Julia Ann, Mary; three brothers: Leonard, Marvin, Raymond. He leaves behind to cherish his memory three sons: Jackie Hicks, Michael Hicks (Grace), and Nick Nipper (Karen), sister Addie Marie Pickett, brother Kelly Hicks (Sandy), eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday November 24, 2014 at 2:00pm at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00pm-2:00pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at McDabb Cemetery in Marion County.
