Jan Dean Gregg Goodwin

Jan Dean Gregg Goodwin, of Cleveland Tennessee, Born January 17, 1959, in Dodge City Kansas, passed away on December 19, 2021. Jan was the daughter of Don and Betty Gregg. Jan attended Dodge City High School and she was an active member of the Red Demon marching band and played the saxophone. In 1976, she and her saxophone marched with the Red Demons, in the 87th, Tournament of Roses parade in California.

In 1977, Jan graduated DCHS and attended Emporia State University where she earned a degree in education. She taught in the state of Kansas and Tennessee. In 1999, she took a job with The Tennessee Department of Children services, in Knoxville Tennessee, where she was instrumental in working with children and families.

On the 17th of August 2000, Jan married Thomas Goodwin of Cleveland Tennessee, He survives of the home; son, Zach Parker Edwards, TN; sister, Gay Gregg Willson-Hughes, Goddard, KS; sister-in-law, Barbara Gregg Nebbeling, Dodge City, KA; nephew Mat Huston, Aurora, CO; nieces, Emma Gregg-Keenen, Olivia, Allison and, Betsy Gregg. Jan is preceded in death by her parents, sister Beth Gregg Huston and brother Gill Gregg.

A private funeral service will be held in McDonald, Tennessee.

Her family request that friends consider a donation to a local pet rescue organization, or plant a tree in her honor.
