James Franklin Oliver

James Franklin Oliver, 77, of Ooltewah, TN, went home to be with the Lord, November 28, 2019 at his home. James was born October 4, 1942 to the proud parents Doug and Eloise Oliver. James was dedicated to his family and to his work life, driving a cement truck for 50 plus years, retiring from BHY Concrete after 36 of those years. He was a lifelong fan of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves, and the Tennessee Vols. He also enjoyed his word search puzzles, and riding his grandkids and cats on his electric wheelchair.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy May Oliver, parents, Doug and Eloise Oliver, daughter, Debra Kay Oliver, grandsons, David Adam Oliver, Eric Nathan Oliver, and several siblings.
He is survived by, son David (Darla) Oliver of Harrison, TN; daughters, Connie (Tommy) Moreland of Chattanooga, TN; Patricia (Brad) Huey of McDonald, TN; Hope (Travis) Headrick of McDonald, TN; 8 grandchildren, Steve (Jennie) Moreland, Jill (Ben) Ford, Heather (Aaron) Morrison, Tony (Holly) Moreland, Holly (Brian) Hammill, Sgt. Christopher (Emily) Headrick USMC, Kristina Oliver, Tyler Headrick; 9 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and three brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday December 12, 2019 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Standifer Gap Seventh-Day Adventist Church. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am on Friday December 13, 2019 at the church with visitation for one hour prior to the service. A burial service will take place on Friday following the service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
