Fred "Grease" Longley

Fred “Grease” Longley, 85, of McDonald, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on February 12, 1937 and according to him he was “born and half raised in half of Polk County”.

He retired after 40 years of service with perfect attendance from Whirlpool Corporation. He was a loyal friend to many with an amazing sense of humor and great pride and love for his family. He loved coon hunting with his dogs, spending time with family and friends, telling stories and sharing jokes . Regardless of how many times we heard those stories they were always funny and always a special time spent together.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Amy Longley.

Survivors include his loving wife Faye, son Randy Longley(Michelle), daughter Annette Longley Campbell; step-son Danny Bonner(Karen); grandchildren Allison Longley Rummel(Scott), Hunter Longley(Taylor), Jackson Campbell, Nathaniel Bonner(Haley), Andrew Bonner(Jessica), Amanda Lawson, and special grandson River Scoggins. Also survived by brothers and sisters Henry Longley(Linda), John Longley (Onecia), Melvin Longley(Hilda), Beulah Grisham, and Linda Beaty(Julius), extended family and life long friends.

Family will receive friends at Companion Funeral Home on Monday, March 7, 2022 with visitation between 4 and 7 pm. Services at 7 pm. Interment will be Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Earls Cemetery at 11 am.
