Frances Giovannetti

December 5, 1930 — July 10, 2019

¬¬¬¬Francis Giovannetti, beloved mother and grandmother, a long-time resident of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York and more recently of Cleveland, Tennessee, went to the Lord July 10, after a long illness in hospice. She was 88.
Born on December 5, 1930, Frances was the daughter of the late Andrea and Francis Perez. She was sent to live with her Aunt Theresa and Uncle Salvatore Vivaronda in New York City as a young child. She later attended Roosevelt High School in the Bronx. She was united in marriage to Frank Giovannetti until his untimely passing at the age of 54.
Frances worked as an Assistant Teacher for over 20 years at the Mosholu-Montefiore Nursery School and Kindergarten and then later at Memorial Methodist Early Childhood Center in White Plains, NY. Francis had been an active member of both the Hastings and Dobbs Ferry Community Senior Centers and volunteered to serve lunches and hold fundraisers for both groups. Most recently, she was a member of the Bradley Cleveland Senior Center where she enjoyed friendships, bingo and music. Francis was a skilled seamstress, knitter and baker. She collected angel figurines and Asian ceramics. Her loving and cheerful presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Francis is survived by her daughter, Dr. Terri Rothschild-Hall (Tracy); granddaughter, Judith Rothschild-Best (David) of White Plains; grandsons Jesse Rothschild (Dr. Abigail Scanlan) of Wake Forest, NC, Gregory Hall (Kinga Kovacs) of Atlantic City, NJ, Nicholas Hall (Brittany Klee) of Eagan, MN, and Benjamin Hall, of Denver, CO. In addition, she is survived by 6 great grandchildren, 2 nephews and 5 nieces. Besides her husband, Frances was predeceased by her brother, Ralph Perez, and sister Anna Herminia Perez-Diaz.
There will be a wake at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, Tennessee on Sunday, July 14, 2019, from 3-5 pm followed by a Christian service. Following a private cremation, she will be interred with her beloved Husband in Wakefield Cemetery in New York City with a memorial service.
