Eugene Karl "Gene" Mcclellan Do/Md

Eugene Karl “Gene” McClellan DO/MD, 81 a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Friday morning, January 8th, 2016 at his home. Gene was born on December 20th, 1934 in Cadott, WI the third of eight children to the late Frank & Josephine McClellan. His career took him to serve as a pathologist at the Mountain Home VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN and also in the Tomah VA Medical Center in Tomah, WI. Gene was a reservist with the United States Army for over twenty years. He was called up to active duty to faithfully serve his country during the Gulf War and received an honorable discharge following his service to his country. Gene’s hobbies were cars and baseball, but will be most remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Dan McClellan and Howard McClellan.
Gene leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of forty seven years Carolyn, seven children Robert (Donna) McClellan of Bradenton, FL, Rodney (Lisa) McClellan of Spring City, TN, Renee (Tom) Honeycutt of McDonald, TN, Rinda (Sam) Reed of Glen St. Mary, FL, Caryn (Scott) Erb of Mt. Horeb, WI, Stephen (Susie) McClellan of Spirit Lake, ID and Kenneth McClellan of Cleveland, TN, sixteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters Dorthy (Ed) Benson of Fletcher, NC and Ruth Trivett of McMinnville, TN, three brothers John (Sheryl) McClellan of Avon Park, FL, Joe McClellan of Wilmington, NC and George (Susie) McClellan of Cleveland, TN, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Sunday, January 17th, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cedar Ridge Seventh-Day Adventist Church located at 8408 Highway 60 in Georgetown, TN. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the memorial service.
