Elena Marin

Elena Marin was one of 6 children born to Gheorghe and Elena Balarie in Bucharest, Romania.
After obtaining her High school Diploma, Elena worked as an Accounting Staff and Payroll Administrator for a Geriatric Hospital and Nursing Home in Bucharest, Berceni.
She married a charming and hard working man that promised to love her and take care of her in sickness and in health till death them do part. With her husband Marian she built a small, but loving family. They worked hard and made lots of sacrifices to raise their two children Cristi and Alina during a communist regime that made living very challenging. As he promised, Marian was by her side when Elena became ill with Parkinson at a young age. Together they continued to take care of their children by making sure they had everything they needed, especially a good education. In 1991 Cristi leaves Romania heading to the United States in search for better life opportunities. He marries Ana and builds his own family. Together with Ana they have two daughters, Alice and Michelle. In 2001 Elena becomes a widow after Marian dies due to illness, but she was not alone. Her daughter Alina was by her side in Romania and her son Cristi was a huge support from the United States. At the end of 2002 Cristi helps his sister and mother come to the United States.
Elena and her daughter Alina make Cleveland, TN their place to live for the following 17 years as Alina gets a job in Accounting and a few years later marries her charming and hard working man, Che. Elena will be remembered by all as being a caring, loving, hardworking, and all around responsible woman that loved her children more than she loved herself. Elena is survived by her children Cristi and Alina and her granddaughters Alice and Michelle.
