Edward Thurman "Eddie" Sanders

Edward Thurman “Eddie” Sanders, 82, of Cleveland, TN passed away on November 24, 2018. He was born on February 26, 1936 to the late Leonard and Pearline Sanders. Eddie has lived in Cleveland for the past 17 years and was a member of Peerless Road Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and he enjoyed sports, especially the Atlanta Braves. Above all, Eddie loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

In addition to his mother and father he is preceded in death by his siblings: Melvin Sanders, Leroy Sanders, and sister Barbara Jean Dyer.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 55 years, Gloria Sanders; daughter Jaime Sanders; sons: Kevin Sanders and Bryan Sanders; brother Leon Sanders of Saginaw, TX; grandchildren: Philip Sanders (Alina), Hunter Taylor, Jordan Taylor, and Aaron M. Sanders; great grandson Maddox Sanders. In addition to these, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at Peerless Road Church located at 3301 Peerless Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37312. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 7:00pm at the church with Pastor Adam Jones officiating. Interment with full military honors will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday November 28, 2018 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
