Edna Mae Officer

Edna Mae Officer, 87, of Cleveland, TN went to be with her heavenly father early Sunday, October 22nd, 2017. She was born March 7th, 1930 in Polk County, TN to the late Robert L. and Lennie Mae Frazier. She was a long time member of Westwood Baptist Church in Cleveland and the Joy Givers Sunday School Class. Edna was a Polk County High School graduate who also graduated from the National School of Business in Cleveland. She loved going to church, working outside in her flower beds, reading, going for long walks and being with her family and friends. Edna especially loved going shopping and out to eat every Saturday with her daughters, after getting her hair done.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents listed above; the love of her life and husband for 56 years, Kenneth Doyle Officer; sisters Ilene Davis and Wilma Crouse, brothers: Hobart Frazier, Lunsford Frazier, Glenn Frazier, Weldon Frazier, Vernon Frazier, and Roy Frazier.

Left to cherish her memory two daughters, Connie Houser and husband, Steve, a favorite son-in-law and Carol Poole and her husband Wayne, a favorite son-in-law, all of Cleveland; two sisters, Joyce Tilson and husband Rabin, Margaret Rogers and husband Charlie, all of Cleveland; three grandsons, Corey Houser (Kristen), Andy Houser (Sheena),and Alex Poole (Jennifer); five great grandchildren Jake Houser, Abby Houser, Maddie Guyton, Ally Guyton, and Grayson Poole soon to be born in late February; she also leaves behind several other nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life service will be held Thursday, October 26th, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Rev. Nolan Phillips and Rev. Jimmy Caywood officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00pm until 7:00PM. Interment will be held at 2:30pm on Friday October 27, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A procession will leave Companion Funeral Home at 2:00pm.
