Dr. Ellis Mack Hodgson,Iii

Dr. Ellis Mack Hodgson, III of Morristown, Tennessee departed this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at the Life Care Center of East Ridge, Tennessee with Amedisys Hospice Care and with his sister by his side. He was born August 4, 1955, in Jefferson City Tennessee. Dr. Hodgson practiced veterinarian medicine at his clinic Newport Animal Clinic. He was a member of the first veterinarian class to graduate from the University of Tennessee School of Veterinarian Science. Doc Mack was a writer ONE EYED JACKS AND TRIPODS, AND OTHER STORIES and a singer/songwriter, cd MACK HODGSON. In 2007 Mack was gifted with the birth of his only child Lena whom he loved with all of his heart. He will be remembered by all for his love and compassion for animals. Mack was preceded in death by his parents Ellis Mack Hodgson, Jr. and Nina Sharp Hodgson. Mack leaves behind his daughter Lena Duggin-Hodgson and her mother Terri Duggin; his sister Ella Hodgson Davis; his brother Jack Hodgson (Melanie); his nephew Lynn Davis (Bethany); his niece Cara Vojdani (Sia) and his nephew Trevor Hodgson (Jamie). Memorial gifts may be made to a spay-neuter clinic of your choice. Out of concern for others, there will be a celebration of Dr. Ellis Mack Hodgson, III's life at a later date.
