Dowless Gene Gentry

Dowless Gene Gentry, 71, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, December 29th at his residence.

He was the son of the late Charles Dow Gentry, Sr. and Roxie Anita ("Annie") Duckett Gentry. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Gentry Corbin and Alma Sue Gentry, one nephew Robert "Bobby" Trammell, one granddaughter Adailyn Grace Gentry and two great-grandchildren, infants Baby Shaw and Tyson Sylvester II.

Dowless is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Gentry; his children Dustin "Rocky" Gentry, Briana Patton, Crystal Kazy and Dewayne (Mary) Longwith; grandchildren Brett Longwith, Jerry (Audri) Shaw, Tevin Shaw (Erica Fowler), Kyra Johnson (Jahaver Rico), Kiearra Johnson (Tyson Sylvester) and Tory Kazy; great-grandchildren Thiago Rico and Londyn Sylvester; brothers Robert (Bernice) Gentry and Charles (Annette) Gentry; sisters Nora Gentry (Larry, dcsd) Hollifield and Lisa Gentry (Alan) Bowers. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

The family will hold a private memorial service. Companion Funeral & Cremation Service of Cleveland has charge of the arrangements
